Artist Statement (what Darlene146 said about their artwork)
I used many elements of art on this project. I used line so create all the flowers and designs on the skull. I also used color, a lot of color. My entire skull is multicolored, every design is colored. I used shape as well for the flowers and designs.
I used a lot of flowers on my skull. I used the flowers because its tradition and they're pretty. I also used many dots on my skull because I thought it helped fill in some space and made it more intricate.
I learned that outlining is more important than I thought. My skull would look weird if I hadn't outlined it. If I could do it all again, I'd chose a different color for the petals around the eyes.
