About this School Project (Clay Hands (2/3))
In Middle House, we have been discussing different cultures. We had a student, whose family is from Morocco, come and speak with us about the art of henna. After looking at henna designs, we created our own unique designs on the clay slab hands. The hands were fired in the kiln, and then the students painted them with metallic watercolors. They were finished with a clear varnish. Very beautiful!
