About this School Project (Kindergarten Eric Carle Butterfly Collages)
Kindergarted artists read the book The Very Hungry Caterpillar. We talked about how Eric Carle made his illustrations, the pictures in the book. We started by painting three pieces of paper two different colors and by using the end of the brush to add designs right into the paint! The next time we met, we cut out butterfly wings, and a body to make our butterfly collage. The artists were then able to add details to the butterflies' environment, where he lives.
