About this School Project (Dot Day Design)
On the first day of Art class, students created a dot design using monochromatic color palette.
Great masterpieces by themselves, these dots are used in a school-wide mural to celebrate International Dot Day!

International Dot Day is on September 15th and celebrates a children's book, "The Dot" by Peter H. Reynolds. In this story, a frustrated grade school artist, Vashti sits slumped over her blank piece of paper at the end of art class. "I just CAN'T draw!" she tells her teacher. Her teacher encourages her to "just make a mark and see where it takes her". This inspires Vashti to go beyond her insecurities and become, in the words of a younger boy who "can't draw" either, a really great artist!
