About this School Project (4th-Wet-on-Wet Painted Pumpkins)
The Fourth Graders are ready for Halloween and Thanksgiving!
To get this neat watercolor effect, fifth graders drew their pumpkins with white glue on white paper, drawing from observation of live pumpkins. Once dry, they let the watercolors "mingle" together using the "wet on wet" watercolor technique. By painting the paper first with water and dropping the paints into the wet paper, they were able to achieve these beautiful results. We outlined the glue lines and color and value changes with an ultra-fine sharpie to add detail to the piece.
