About this School Project ("We the People...")
After a discussion about the Constitution and especially the Preamble to it, students listened to the book, "We the Kids" by David Catrow. Using red and white 1" wide strips and 2 sizes of white stars, they created a design based upon the parts of the U.S. flag, but not to look like the flag. They also used blue rectangles to represent the blue field behind the stars on the flag. A "We the People" stamp was printed on the manilla colored background to represent the first words of the preamble of the Constitution.
