About this School Project (Cave Paintings)
1st grade students studied RUNNING HORSES from the Cave of Lascaux and discussed the purpose of art work from long ago. In order to simulate the bumpy, uneven surface of a cave, students crumpled their paper before sketching their stories. Oil pastels in red, black, and brown were used to add color.
