Artist Statement (what Fatma16 said about their artwork)
This project was made by a group of 3. It was based on an African mask. In ancient times Africans used these colors for their masks, so we thought it would inspire people. We worked really hard on it.
About this School Project (Gr. 7 Masks)
Students researched and were inspired by masks from different cultures and countries. They could create their own design or incorporate mask designs from their research. Students were required to create a mask with multiple layers. They worked alone, in pairs, but group included three students.
