Artist Statement (what Kenya237 said about their artwork)
I learned why Jim Dine did hearts. also I loved reviewing my cool and warm colors. I think my art is really good. I want to become an artist!!
About this School Project (Four Hearts for Jim Dine)
Ohio artist, Jim Dine, created a lot of art based on hearts (a symbol he used for his wife). Students looked at various examples of Dine's heart works then drew four hearts on quarter-folded white paper. Oil pastels in warm and cool color palettes were used to color the heats and watercolors were painted in the opposing warm and cool palettes for the backgrounds. Please comment on these bright, colorful works of hearts.
