About this School Project (Athletic Action Abstract Paintings with collage)
Students were asked to show the types of movements involved with the sport of their choice using only paint strokes. To prepare for these abstract paintings, we played an "art charades" game, demonstrating how various types of lines make us think about certain sports.
Students found photos of people actively pursuing their chosen sports. They cut them out of their old backgrounds and placed them in their abstract paintings.
