About this School Project (Gr. 3 DRAWING - Basic skills)
Students create a basic landscape drawing and then enquire into making their drawings more interesting by evaluating illustrations in children's literature. They find pictures of interest and draw up a list of common factors which they find in the illustrations. They apply these drawing skills to their own work and compare their first attempt to their improved versions and conclude whether their skills have improved or not. They will discuss the differences in their drawings and will come up with drawing strategies to be used in the future. They set their own goals for future drawing sessions.
