About this School Project (Printing and The Great Horned Owl)

Vocabulary words: habitat, environment, predator, prey, talons
Students gained knowledge on the Great Horned Owl. Students learned all the physical characteristics of a Great Horned Owl. Students used oil pastels to color them in. The habitat for their Great Horned Owl was a large tree. Students were taught printmaking techniques. The tree was made by using rectangles and lines with black tempera paint. Details such as leaves and a moon were added with construction paper.
