About this School Project (Laurel Burch Cats)
Students were shown many pieces of art by Laurel Burch. They were asked how they were all the same. They then watched a short video about Burch. They then used the Socrative app space race to answer questions about the artist. Students were taught to use shapes and lines to draw their cat in Laurel Burch's style. They then used glue to trace their cats. Last they learned chalk techniques to smear, blend, and choose pleasing color groups.
