I liked it because I got to be creative.
About this School Project (One Fish, My Fish)
In celebration of Dr. Seuss' birthday and Read Across America, students looked at his "One fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish" book and drew their own fish with pencil, outlined and detailed with black oil pastel. They painted these with red, blue, yellow and green tempera as desired and set these aside to dry while they glued red paper strips to white paper (Like the Cat in the Hat's hat). When the fish were dry, they were cut out and glued onto the red and white striped background. Thanks to Patty Palmer of Deep Space Sparkle for the inspiration.
