About this School Project (1st Grade Color Mixing)
1st graders reviewed primary colors and secondary colors. In this "free" painting, students were only allowed to use red, yellow, and blue paints. They were free to paint whatever and wherever they wanted, as long as they mixed secondary colors in the process. They also did "magic" by using a wax resist technique that allowed their previously invisible images to show when they painted over the top.
