About this School Project (Fall Reflections)
Students looked at various artworks of scenery with water reflections. Landscape oriented paper was folded in half horizontally. Students learned to paint sky and water using wet-on-wet watercolor techniques. Land, trees and mountains were painted using blending techniques with tempera paint on the top half of the paper. The paper was folded and rubbed to print the image on the bottom half as a reflection. Tree trunks were drawn with brown and black oil pastels, the paper folded and rubbed to print on the bottom half. Fall leaves were sponge painted on these trees with tempera and printed on the bottom half.
