About this School Project (Amate Bark Paintings-Room 115)
Students traveled to Panama to learn about the Central American art of amate bark painting. Tree bark is boiled, pounded and dried in the sun to create this beautiful paper. Students used ideas found in the rain forest to create their paintings.
