About this School Project (First Grade's First Self Portraits)
Students learned that artists who draw or paint pictures of people are creating portraits. They also learned that when an artist paints or draws a picture of his/herself it is called a self-portrait. Each student then learned how to draw themselves from their head to their toes, focusing on placing body parts in the correct places. Each child's personality shines through in their artwork. I love these self-portraits- definitely treasures to keep forever!
