About this School Project (4th Grade Hundertwasser Inspired Clay)
Fourth graders studied the style of the Austrian architect+artist+environmental activist known as Friedensreich Hundertwasser. His work utilizes bright colors, organic forms, a reconciliation of humans with nature, and a strong individualism, rejecting straight lines. Using clay coils to "draw" the image, students created their own low relief sculptures depicting nature-related memories or hopes.
