About this School Project (Inspirational Posters inspired by Lisa Congdon)
Students will learn about artist illistrator Lisa Congdon and examining her poster collections based on her artwork, students will create their own posters. They will use organic and geometric shapes to create a background, which will be colored used a limited color palette of analogous colors. Then using a contrasting color construction paper, students will create a quote, Bible verse or phrase that is empowering, motivational or uplifting. They will be encouraged to use different types of drawn fonts. These letters should be large enough to cut out and glue onto the designed background.
