Artist Statement (what Katherine15080 said about their artwork)
I choose Elaine because she is super cute and kind. And i choose her because not many people have done her and she stuck out to me. I picked the design because I wanted it to be colorful
About this School Project (A.B.C.D. Arts Benefit)
Artists Benefitting Cats and Dogs:
Every art student at the Skokie School has painted a pet portrait that will be be donated to Orphans of the Storm Animal Shelter. Each portrait is inspired by a current or former resident at the shelter. On Thursday May 15th (5:30-7:30pm), the Skokie School will be hosting an Arts Benefit Exhibition to showcase the collection. Beginning Monday, May 19th, portraits will be displayed and sold to the public at the Orphans of the Storm’s Hawthorn Mall location.
You can sponsor your student’s portrait anytime before May 15th to reserve it. Please go to
https://www.skokiewashburne36pto.org to sponsor. Reserved paintings will go home with students after the show. Please consider sponsoring your favorite artist’s painting at one of the following levels:
$25 sponsorships will show a red heart at the exhibition
$50 sponsorships will show a silver heart at the exhibition
$75 sponsorships will show a gold heart at the exhibition
There will be additional works at the show presented by Skokie's Artists on Special Assignment. We hope to see you there!
