4th grade artists viewed some of Morgan Harper Nichols's artwork and watched a video of her sharing how important art making is to how she understands and communicates with the world around her! Students were challenged to choose a positive phrase or mantra connected to the learner profile attributes and visually express the meaning. Students were courageous artists as they tried this unique way of making art. They were working toward the following Ohio Visual Art Standards:
