The social issue that I chose was the religious institution abuse, and for the statement, I chose to go with ‘You’re not alone.” If I could re-do this reduction printing, I would have added more colors on it.
About this School Project (Reduction Prints)
Intro to Art students took their relief printmaking project a step further with these reduction prints. Students printed at least 3 colors on the same piece of paper progressing in value from light to dark or dark to light. Each time students carved away more of their block before printing their next color. They repeated this process 3 or 4 times essentially reducing the area printed each time.
