Artist Statement (what Edsell1 said about their artwork)
My favorite part of this artwork is the tree with pink flowers; it adds a vibrant touch that contrasts beautifully with the blue sky. My least favorite aspect might be the moon; I think it could be more detailed. I chose to create this piece because I wanted to capture a peaceful night scene. If I were to do it again, I would experiment with blending techniques to create smoother transitions in the sky. While working on this, I learned about layering colors and how to create depth with oil pastels.
