About this School Project (Eric Carle undersea collages)
After reading Eric Carle's "Mister Seahorse", students examine the style of Eric Carle's artwork. Textures, fingerpainting, details. Students create a bubble priinted "ocean" with bubble wrap and paint. Students create a fingerpainted background using red, yellow, and blue paints. Color mixing discussed. Textures encouraged.
Fingerpainted paper is cut into undersea shapes (fish, seahorses, plants, shells, etc) and glued to the bubble printed background. Additional details using sharpie, markers, and/or crayons.
