About this School Project (Lunar New Year Paintings)
Students learned about the traditions & culture of Lunar New Year. Students chose either Lucky Cat, one of the twelve Chinese zodiac symbols, or a lantern as the focal point of their painting. They used Sharpie to add details to their paintings, like starts, fireworks, & Chinese symbols. Students used watercolor to paint. Once their painting was dry, they used color Sharpies, gel pens, & regular pens to add smaller details, highlights, & shadows to their artworks.
