About this School Project (5th Grade Name Abstract Art)
In this 5th grade art project, students learned how to create an abstract version of their name using block letters. First, they carefully drew their names in block letters on a piece of paper. Then, they drew a grid on the back of the paper and cut their name into 9 equal squares. Afterward, they rearranged these squares onto a piece of colored paper, creating an abstract composition of their name. This project helped students explore concepts of space, proportion, and abstraction while also learning about the process of breaking down and reassembling an image.
