About this School Project (4th Grade Moving Lights Christmas Tree)
4th grade had a fun challenge coloring this tree and disk so there wasn't any white paper showing. Step one was to use crayons in different colors, remembering to push hard to apply them densely. Step two was to go over the crayon with markers and wherever the paper was still showing, the marker would stain the paper and show a contrasting color. It is a great way to get as many colors as possible in a simple project. Finally, after both pieces were colored, holes of a variety of shapes and sizes were punched to allow the colors of the disk to show through the tree. The fun part is that the two pieces are connected with a paper fastener so the colors move and sparkle when the disk is rotated!
