Artist Statement (what Nandini205 said about their artwork)

This is the jokes assignment, and I fulfilled it because I have a very funny joke and I used art to represent it. I used line and shape in all my art, and I used color in all my art as well. I used value in the furniture, and the dark and light pinks make the furniture look 3-D, creating form. I used texture in the hanging egg swing because the chair looks soft. I used space because there is a foreground and middle ground. I also used the principle of contrast because the neutral background makes the bright sunflower pop. This also creates emphasis. I used balance and unity because the artwork comes together nicely and everything feels balanced. I didn't face any challenges, but my favorite part is the sunflower "leafing" through the book because it's super cute!
