About this School Project (0K-Eagles Nest Sculpture)
Students used clay to create a pinch pot and added a rough texture by drawing lines onto the surface of their pinch pot to make it look like a nest. Students then were to create a smooth egg to place in their nest to symbolize themselves getting ready to "fly out of their kindergarten nests" into 1st grade. After the clay was fired, students observed what a real eagle's nest looked light and used tempera paint to paint their nests and egg.
