About this School Project (Alphabet Soup)
First-grade artists used various media types to create this delicious alphabet soup. The ABC noodles and veggies were drawn with oil pastel and then a soup-colored liquid watercolor was painted over them. The plaid placemats were created with water-based markers and then sprayed with water. Lastly, students added a napkin and then used charcoal chalk pastel to create shading to give their place setting a more realistic look. At the very end, Ms. Kincaid glued a silver plastic spoon on the napkin with hot glue.
