Artist Statement (what Aurora2354 said about their artwork)
I really love my artwork! It was really fun to make, especially glazing and forming it. My inspiration to make this was my favorite tree! Cherry blossom trees. I wish I could change the petals to be a little bit more realistic, but it's ok. Although, I am pretty surprised the glazing part turned out pretty good!
About this School Project (Form Piece (5))
Students used white earthenware clay to create either a mug or a mask. For the mask they used the slab method of hand building, and for the mug they used the coil method of hand building. They used tools to explore texture, learned how to slip and score, and then glazed their pieces!
