About this School Project (Dr. Seuss Fish)
Students celebrate reading month with Dr. Seuss as well as his birthday! We read his book "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish" and discussed his illustrations For our lesson, we created standing fish in his funky style! We used red and blue paintsticks for the background as well as white. We discussed how Dr. Seuss uses a lot of primary colors in his illustrations and uses black as an outline. After drawing our fish with black oil pastel, we painted them with watercolor, cut them out, and glued them to the background. Students made glue lines and Mrs. Carlson sprinkled them with glitter for the finishing touches! Don't forget to compliment your favorite illustrator!
