Artist Statement (what Carolyn1867 said about their artwork)
In this artwork I chose to do the Cheshire Cat from Alice In Wonderland. I created my artwork using clay and paint. I used different shades of purple for the base color of the fur, and light/dark purple for the stripes. I also used white paint for the teeth and yellow paint for the eyes. My goal for this artwork was to mainly have the viewer focus on the grin, because I feel like it's the trademark for the Cheshire Cat. My overall thoughts of this artwork are that I love the way that I designed the sculpture, but I wish it was a bit less bumpy and had less scars on the body, simply because I think it makes it a little bit more unflattering.
