Artist Statement (what MCKYNLEE80 said about their artwork)
This is my Illumination letter to my mom. My art work is based off an old time theme letter to someone. My inspiration was that I wanted the letter to look like the old times, with flowers and vines through the side of the paper. During this project I used Paint, colored pencils, and sharpie. The challenges that I faced were trying to keep good hang writing while writing this. I work through this challenge by writing slow and taking my time. Overall I thought that I did pretty well and I believe that it turned out well. I can use multiple approaches to create an illuminate artwork that uses calligraphic script to communicate the theme of identity. Now I can do those things.
