About this School Project (Orphism 5th)
The Orphism art movement, noted for its use of strong colours and geometric shapes, was an offshoot of cubism. The Delauney's (Robert & his wife Sonia) created this art movement after saying that the colors in Cubism were too muted. This duo used bright, bold colors, strong lines, high and low contrast along with motion in their abstract work. As our students made their Orphism creations, they also thought about color meanings and what emotion they wanted to portray in their work. These artworks are wonderful!
