About this School Project ((Yellow) We studied Marc Chagall)
Students learned about the artist Marc Chagall and how he often used dream like images in his artwork. Students were given prompts (draw a place to live, something that grows, transportation, something that flies, and they rotated the orientation of their page every time they drew something new. This gives a "dream like" look to their drawings. They painted the background (negative space) first, and then painted all of the rest of the elements. They finished using India ink if they needed to redefine shapes.
