About this School Project (2nd Grade Tabby Weaving)
This project is a right of passage for McKee Road second graders!
Every year, second graders learn about the artform of weaving. Students read the book “Woolbur” and learn about the process of weaving beginning with the sheep and ending with a completed piece of fabric.
Students learn the weaving pattern, how to diagnose common weaving mistakes, take care of their loom, and how to persevere, this project typically takes students five to six class periods to complete!
