About this School Project (Grade 6 - Wire Sculpture Fish)
These Wire Sculpture Fish were inspired by the work of Alexander Calder. Students looked at photos of his wire sculptures. They began with flexible aluminum sculpture wire to make the shape of the fish. Buttons were used to create the fish's eye. Then colorful Twisteez Wire was used to add colorful beads. Finally, the aluminum wire was wrapped with colorful wire. Alexander Calder made similar sculptures using wire and beautiful colorful glass. Our young artists LOVE to get compliments on their work -- please leave a comment for an artist you know! Then become a member of their FAN CLUB, that way you will get updates as soon as they have new artwork published!
