Artist Statement (what Vivian7198 said about their artwork)
I learned that drawing blindfold is hard. I liked that the colors made the drawing look cool. The hardest part was drawing blindfold. We stared at someone for 30 seconds while drawing blindfolded, and we could not lift up the pencil, then we chose one of our drawings, then used transfer paper to transfer it to the cavas, then painted it random colors. No this does not say anything about me. My inspiration is My friend EVA!
About this School Project (Blind Continuous Line Portraits)
This project was designed to allow students to "loosen up" their grip on the art making process. We also discussed how abstract art can often be based on, and related to, real subject matter. In our warm ups, we practiced the blind contour process by drawing the person across from us without looking at our paper and without lifting the pencil or marker from the paper. Warm ups were quick, lasting a mere 30, 15, or 5 seconds per round. The final drawings were created with a similar process and then finished in watercolor, sharpie or color pencil.
