About this School Project (5 Textile Portraits)
Students are learning about portrait artists Biza Butler and Amy Sherald. These artists put unique twist onto their portraits. Biza Butler creates her portraits using fabrics and other textiles while Amy Sherald paints people she has met. We will learn about the proportions of the human form while students draw a person or animal of their choosing. Students will use fabrics donated to us to layer and make a portrait.
