About this School Project (Tigers in the Jungle inspired by Henri Rousseau)
Students learned a little about Henri Rousseau and his jungle paintings. We drew the tiger together. Students are always encouraged to make it their own. They had a choice to paint using tempera paint cakes or tempera paint sticks. They were to draw the scene of a jungle and then had the choice to add tissue paper to make their picture come to life. As most of these students will be going on to Lewis and Clark highschool, I found it fitting for our future LC Tigers to draw a tiger. I love how they turned out.
I was truly impressed by these first graders talent. Great job artists!
