About this School Project (2nd - Jim Dine Confetti Hearts)
Students looked at the famous heart art of Cincinnati artist Jim Dine. In particular,we looked at his painting titled “Confetti Heart”. Students created confetti for the background of their paper by tearing and gluing paper in the color scheme of their choice, and adding dots of tempera paint. They created their own symmetrical heart template and added either one or four hearts to their paper by smearing black charcoal. Finally, they completed their art by doing a whipstitch around the outside edge of their paper.
