About this School Project (303 Space Explorers)
As a connection with their classroom learning on space exploration, and as an extension of their lesson on 3-D forms, students have been having fun with these space scenes. They used pastels to make cloudy areas and stars as a backdrop for some spherical planets. Some of them wanted to make them scientifically accurate, and others got creative. They added explorers to their scene after drawing and coloring them on separate paper with markers. We looked at Andy Warhol's astronaut print for a fun connection to art history.
