Artist Statement (what Kasen791 said about their artwork)

So, we have been learning about impressionism. We made this to practice with oil practice with oil pastels, and also to learn about Monet's style. I started with orange paper becaue I knew it would look good with bluue pastel. Then i drew red basic blobs with oil pastel. After that, I drew the stems and the grass with various green and yellow shades. I used a variety of blues to fill in the background sky. During the whole process, I made sure to just create impressions pf poppies instead of realistic looking onees. During his project, I learned about Impressionsm, layering pastels, blendig pastels, and adding highlights and shadows. I enjoyed working with oil pastels. i also like geting messy.I do like the finished product
