About this School Project (2 Line Fish)
2nd grade artists learned about the element of art line, while creating these colorful and creative fish, inspired by contemporary artist - Sandra Silberzweig. First, we used a black crayon to draw fish and filled the background with a variety of black lines. Then we learned about principles of design - emphasis and contrast. We used a thick black line to emphasize our fish. And, when we painted, we used contrast by choosing different temperatures of color for our fish and our background. Finally, we used oil pastels to add colorful details on our fish. We had so much fun!
