Artist Statement (what Winnie422 said about their artwork)
My artwork is dark and a little light and it's beautiful. I used watercolors and I blended them in. I like that I used a lot of colors. I think that I will frame it.
About this School Project (Painting)
Students have the opportunity to paint starting in Kindergarten where all students learn how to set up a proper painting workspace using tempera block paints. Students have access to watercolors throughout their K-2 art experience as well as liquid tempera paint starting in 1st grade and liquid watercolors in 2nd grade. Students are introduced to various painting techniques in 1st and 2nd grade and can explore color mixing starting in Kindergarten.
