About this School Project (Madhubani)
Students learned about Madhubani painting, which is from Mathila, a region in India. We discussed how most of the paintings have some type of animal with vegetation decorations surrounded by a border. Students used stencils to trace their main image, rulers to add a border, and lines and dots to create patterns for their paintings.
