Artist Statement (what Ava50374 said about their artwork)
To create this artwork I first came up with the idea. I knew I wanted to create a trendy collage style painting, using acrylic paint. To create this artwork I first made a base. I used different variation of purple using acrylic paint. Like how we did with our building paintings. Then I added in letters like WSU with paint. I also used other paints to created the flag, stars and line details. Then to have more crisp lines I used a metallic paint marker. I believe all my colors go together very nicely. I chose to do this project to show some school spirit for the college i'm attending next fall! My favorite thing is my Winona lettering in cursive, and painted stars. My least favorite is the flag. The most challenging part of this artwork was trying to be precise and use different mediums, sometimes it was hard to make sure the paints didn't mix together.
