About this School Project (5 Op Art)
Students explored several strategies artists use to create illusions of deep space and three-dimensional form on a flat surface. Initially using curved lines to describe curved surfaces, and flat lines to describe flat surfaces students made a flat shape of a heart or a hand seem volumetric. Students then added shading to indicate their illusory form was casting a shadow!
